Well…..uhhhh, ok, you’re in. The View 2011 Photography Project, that is. Look at you, agreeing to join things and you don’t even know what it is, yet. Tsk, Tsk!
Anyway, if you haven’t been keeping up (insert shaking of head here) I am doing a year long photography project called The View with some fabulous friends including, but not limited to the West Coaster! Like many things with my lovely girlfriends we fell upon this project simply by being silly and rambling, and voila, there it was.
Although it started as a challenge for us, it’s much too fun to keep to ourselves, so I would like to invite you to join in the project. Yep, you, sitting right there, that’s right. You don’t have to be a professional photographer, you just have to have a camera.ย
Here’s the deal, each week I will post my view on a particular topic and occassionaly it will be “our view” mine and the West Coaster’s, side by side. When I share my view for the week, I will also include the topic for the following week and any other details that may be important to the project. So, for example, this week’s topic was New Adventures, that’s it. Your photo just needed to have something to do with New Adventures. You can see how I chose to express that here or Rachael’s take on it here.
Alrighty, once you’ve taken your picture you can either post it in your own blog and comment on my post with the link (so I can check it out) or you can email me at melissa@melissaaphotography.com with your picture, name, and location. I will for sure look at it and if I’m not running too late I will try to post a few for others to see. Sound fun? Of course it does! In order for me to have time to post your photos for others to view, they need to be emailed to me in JPEG format no later than Sunday of each week. Our posts will be scheduled for each Monday.
Now that I’ve sucked you in, here’s the topic for next week: Take a photo of something, anything that represents what you’re doing, who you are, what’s going on, “your view” at 10am (your time zone)ย on Thursday morning (January 6th). That will be your view at that particular moment. It will be interesting to see what everyone is doing at that same time. Obviously it won’t be simultaneous if we’re in different time zones, but it’ll still be a good representation of our days, I think. Perhaps soon we’ll have to do one at a simultaneous time across time zones, ohhh, the wheels are turning people! Anyway, I look forward to seeing how this project develops and the inspiration that comes with it. Happy shooting!

SUCH high standards… JPEG format… Ha! ๐ I DO think I’m going to join this project of yours though, me and my trusty iPhone cam. I seriously need SOMEthing to get me taking more pictures of all these kids, since time doesn’t seem to want to slow down no matter how much I beg! Thanks for the inspiration!!
Hahaha! Yes, my standards are extremely high – hope you can meet them :oP I’m glad to have you join in, Candice. You’ll be so glad to have the pictures later to look back on, even if it is from your iPhone!
I am in! Here’s my first post, even though it is late. Just hoping I remember tomorrow is Thursday so I can do next week as well.

Is it too late to join? I’m inspired… I’m not very creative these days, but I’ll give it a try! ๐ I missed the last one, but I’ll check back to catch up next time!
