Saturday at 12:30pm around here is usually pretty mellow and I am 100% thankful for that! Charley was on call this weekend, but after rounding in the morning, he was home for the rest of the day – another thing to be thankful for.

So, babies were napping, I was starting to make lunch, and Charley and Drew worked on some play-doh creations! It’s interesting listening to Drew talk to Charley. First, Drew is not very patient when it comes to talking to him, something we’re working on all the time. Second, Charley tends to egg him on which just feeds the situation. Anyway, after an argument over how to create this masterpiece, Drew was satisfied and Charley finally just did what Drew wanted. So, here is my view of 12:30pm on Saturday 🙂

It kind of reminds me of Despicable Me. It must be the carrot nose.

 Here’s Rachael’s explanation and here’s Marcela’s.

Here is what everyone else was up to at 12:30 EST:

A. & B. Meredith York – Martinez, GA: I’ve got 2 pics from 12:30, because I was multi-tasking.  🙂  Picture #1 is the chili on the stove.  Picture #2 is Kylie painting her heart shelf that we built this morning at Home Depot.   Oh, it’s been an exciting day!

C. Erin Hykin : Taking chocolate chip whipped cream cake out of the oven.

D. Stephanie Henry – Martinez, GA: I remembered at 1215 that I needed to take a picture.  By the time I got home it was 12:26 and I grabbed my camera off the counter.  I turned around and snapped my youngest running through the house naked.  I’m pretty impressed that he had socks on.

E. Stephanie McWhorter – D.C.: Perfect Rainy Afternoon:  This was just perfect.  I did cheat…just a little.  It was actually 12:26 p.m.  But I knew if I didn’t get it at that time, in 4 minutes it would be gone.  Scott and his babies reading a book.

F. Peanut Butter & Jelly by Heather Fielder – Evans, GA: 12:30 is lunch time at my house and my kids are addicted to Peanut butter & Jelly. If you would like to hear our theme song click on this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s8MDNFaGfT4

G. Susie Carpenter – League City, TX:  I was in the middle of getting ready for my sister-in-law’s shower (I was throwing).  I needed a break so I was on the floor playing with Addi.  I looked at the clock and realized it was time for my snap shot.  She was busy crawling trying to get something that was out of her reach!

So fun, everyone! Thanks for sharing. We are going to take a bit of a break from the timed photos and start doing some other fun themes. So read on for next week’s assignment!

NEXT WEEK’S ASSIGNMENT:

For this assignment we’ll be using a phrase or quote I suppose to inspire our photos. So here it is: Imagination is more important than knowledge.  Now, no matter if you believe this statement to be true or false, use that to guide your photography this week. This could go in so many directions, so I challenge you to put some thought into it and see what you come up with. You may even surprise yourself, which is always fun 🙂 As usual, have your photos to me by Sunday if you’d like it included in my post. Happy Shooting!
