If I could see the world
Thru the eyes of a child
What a wonderful world this would be
There’d be no trouble and no strife
Just a big happy life
With a bluebird in every tree
(Chorus)
I could see right, no wrong
I could see good, no bad
I could see all the good things
In life I’ve never had
If I could see the world
Thru the eyes of a child
What a wonderful world this would be
If I could see the world
Thru the eyes of a child
Smiling faces would greet me all the while
Like a lovely work of art
It would warm my weary heart
Just to see thru the eyes of a child

A friend of mine lost her 4 1/2 year old son a few days ago. Today, his family will say their goodbyes and know he is good hands. My heart aches for them and their friends, all who cherished and loved this little boy. There are no words, there are just no words when someone loses a child.
In thinking about this family during this incredibly surreal and difficult time, I came across the words above. They brought a smile to my heart, and I hope they bring a moment of peace to my friends. For this sweet boy, although he has left us way too soon, will not have to face the bad in this world. His time here was filled with life’s sweetness, a sweetness he shared with all those who were privileged to know him.
To my friends, you are all in our prayers. Cade, you are in our hearts. May God bless you, and keep you. Forever and ever. Amen.
Cade – 5 months old.
*sigh* thoughts go to this family…like you said, there just are no words.
That was beautiful. A friend of mine lost her 4 month old (one of two…) to SIDS a couple of weeks ago. I HATE that there are no words, but there just aren’t. I will pray for peace for your friend on such an impossible day and beyond.
