Ok, maybe not right now, that would be just silly. It did snow though! I have proof! Sure, it was more than a year ago, and sure, it wasn’t much, but the amount of snow we had for this area shut down the schools (even homeschool).

The boys were awake, dressed, and out in the backyard by 7am whooping and hollering as they experienced the result of our “snow storm.” There’s something about snow as a child with a new puppy along side you that makes the day magical. It doesn’t matter that they didn’t last long outside and came in for hot cocoa. To them it felt like hours and that’s how they will remember it. It makes me wonder how long we actually played in the snow as kids. It always seemed as though we were outside creating igloos and the perfect sledding hills all day. After watching my kiddos, I wonder if it was only about 15 minutes!

As our time here winds down before our move to Longview, TX we are busy in so many ways, yet I find pockets of time here and there. While digging in today’s pocket I came across these snapshots and felt the need to get them on here and share them with y’all. So, on this hot, humid June day I send you cool thoughts. Here’s to childhood, cold winter days, snow storms in Louisiana, and of course good old fashioned play.
