Time to celebrate another senior! I have so enjoyed knowing this girl! Check out what she has to share about her senior year and the way she’s dealing with Covid-19.
Senior Feature – Kylie, Longview High School Class of 2020
Going into high school, everyone is told “It goes by fast, so don’t blink”. Well, I blinked. I have to admit that I had many days where I wished my days away, but looking back, I truly wish that I would have lived in the moment more. They say you never know what you had until it’s gone, and I never knew how much I would miss simply sitting in a classroom full of my peers and walking the halls of LHS. I would give so much to be able to have one more day. One of my favorite memories over the years was making the Varsity Cheer squad. Anyone who knows me knows how much it meant to me to see my number on that list! Because I was on the squad, I was able to make so many memories that I will never be able to top! One of those would have to be cheering at the Dallas Cowboy Stadium and winning state after an 87 year drought!
I am so excited for my future, I will be attending the University of Arkansas and majoring in Pre-Physical therapy! Me and my roommates Sarah, Ashley, and Alyssa are all so excited to finally all meet and start the next chapter of our lives together
Although this puts a damper on my senior year, no senior prom, and waiting to see if we all get to be celebrated with a traditional graduation ceremony, I am choosing to stay positive and look on the bright side, I am healthy and this is not the end of the world! This has for sure given me a new outlook on life and I’m taking advantage of this time at home to soak up these last few months of being with my family.
Kylie, I am so thankful to have met you and for the opportunity to watch you carve your own path through high school. I cheered for you every step of the way. I wish you all the best in the future that is headed your way, and although I will always be an Aggie at heart, I am excited to shout “Woo Pig Sooie!” for you ☺️ Congratulations!
Kylie, you are beautiful! Proud of you and looking forward to you being in college even if it is Arkansas! Love you.
